As experienced property managers we have fine-tuned the tenant prospecting process to be able to attract the high quality tenants prepared to pay a good rental rate. TALLEBUDGERA SUBURB PROFILE

Tallebudgera is a peaceful, rural suburb in the Gold Coast hinterland West of Currumbin Waters. The suburb adjoins the rural land of Tallebudgera Valley to the West, while Tallebudgera Creek follows its North-Western border. A 20-minute drive away from the buzzing coast life over at Broadbeach, Tallebudgera is popular with families who enjoy the abundance of greenery and outdoor recreation options.

The Aboriginal people used to call the area Maybree, after a certain type of native tree. The suburb’s current name comes from the Aboriginal words “talle”, fish, and “budgerie” meaning good, so Tallebudgera stands for “good fish”. The expression belonged to a local dialect spoken around the Sidney area and was probably brought up North by cedar getters in the 1840s.

The Tallebudgera Valley encompasses exceptionally fertile soils and, historically, it has served mainly for banana plantations and dairy farming. The vast former farmland along with the picturesque valleys and hills was later subdivided in acreage properties.

Today Tallebudgera offers affordable lifestyle properties and hobby farms. The famous Trees Road hosts exceptional elevated houses with scenic coastline panoramas. Plenty of homes include spacious, green lawns and beautifully landscaped lush gardens with avocado and passion fruit trees, perfect for those who enjoy gardening.

The Coplicks, a one-way wooden bridge, had stretched over Tallebudgera Creek since the 1800s when it used to be the only crossing by road over the waterway. The old wooden construction gave way to a new concrete bridge in June 2019. The replacement came due to safety concerns but disappointed the locals who had enjoyed the old-times monument.

Tallebudgera encompasses mainly rural land and local public transport isn’t available, except for school buses running to the neighbouring schools. Residents need a car to move around and reach the coast or more amenities over at Burleigh.

Apart from the beachside, Tallebudgera also enjoys easy access to the Burleigh Heads National Park, a popular icon and landmark at the Gold Coast. Directly adjacent to Tallebudgera in West Burleigh is the David Fleay Wildlife Park, home to many native plant and animal species and boasting an excellent educational facility.

The Eddie Kornhauser Recreational Reserve, 4 km away from the Tallebudgera centre, features plenty of open spaces, a horse arena, plenty of picnic places, and excellent children’s playground facilities.

Tallebudgera Park Golf Course is an 18-hole course that’s quite popular with residents of the surrounding area. Two more golf courses are within easy reach as are many sports and recreational facilities, part of the Tallebudgera Leisure Centre.

Regarding educational provision, the suburb has the public Tallebudgera State School for primary education and the private, co-ed St Andrews Lutheran College covering both primary and secondary education. Residents can shop for basics in the several local convenience shops, but more diverse shopping options are available nearby, for instance at the Burleigh Market Place, 9 kilometres away.
